Lancaster, NY – On August 1, 2022, at approximately 10:45 p.m., State Police responded to a report of an erratic vehicle on I-90 westbound, in the town of Lancaster.  Troopers located and stopped a vehicle matching the description after observing several vehicle and traffic violations.  The driver of the vehicle, Charles E. Voorhees, 44, of Cheektowaga, NY, was found to be intoxicated.  He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Buffalo where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.30%. 

Voorhees was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.  He was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Lancaster Court on August 4, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.
