PRESS RELEASE
 

On July 27, 2021, State Police arrested 52-year-old Corydon R. Umber of Chestertown, following a report of a burglary. On July 18, Umber forced entry into a residence on State Route 28N in the town of Minerva, punched and slapped three individuals inside, and then left. This all occurred in the presence of a 6-year-old child. He was charged with Burglary 2nd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Umber, an NYS parolee, was arraigned in the Town of Minerva Court and remanded to Essex County Jail with no bail.
