On November 4, 2019, State Police in Latham arrested 27-year-old Pierce G. Hohenstein of Cohoes, for Promoting a Sexual Performance of a Child (D felony) and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (E felony).
Hohenstein is accused of possessing and uploading images consistent with child sexual exploitation via the internet. He was taken into custody after the execution of a search warrant at his residence.
Hohenstein was arraigned in Cohoes City Court and remanded to Albany County Jail on $50,000 cash or bond. He is due back in court on November 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip received by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
