Cold Case Tuesday - The New York State Police continue to investigate the discovery of human skeletal remains found along the Northern State Parkway in Plainview.

On March 26, 2004, around 11:30 am, the remains were found  in a wooded area on the center median of the Northern State Parkway east of Sunnyside Blvd.  The discovery was during an accident investigation which resulted in the unearthing of the remains. 

The unidentified remains are believed to be that of a male between the ages of 35 and 45 at the time of his death.  It is believed that the person has been deceased in excess of 10 years as long as 20 years when the remains were discovered.  The individual was wearing a red, “Members Only” style jacket that was found to be manufactured in 1982 and tan bell bottom pants.  The height of the individual was between 5 feet and 5 feet 4 inches tall.
