Cold Case Tuesday: State Police continue to investigate a 39-year-old missing person case of an Albany County woman.

At 7:00 A.M. on March 19, 1980, Jeanne M. Scrima was last seen leaving Erie, Pennsylvania driving her light blue 1977 Lincoln Continental. Scrima had planned on driving to her residence that she shared with her husband, John Scrima, in the town of Knox, in Albany County, NY.

Jeanne, 44, a homemaker and mother, was never heard from again and was reported missing by her attorney after failing to appear at divorce proceedings against her husband.

The immediate investigation discovered her 1977 Lincoln Continental was seen in Fultonville, New York several weeks after her disappearance, and was later found abandoned in Michigan.

A search of the vehicle and the residence in the town of Knox failed to provide any evidence or relevant information.

Jeanne M. Scrima is a white female, 5’ 03”, 118 lbs. with hazel eyes and dark brown hair. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a gold, heart-shaped cocktail ring with diamonds on the outside.

Members of the New York State Police Troop G Major Crimes Unit have made a concentrated effort to solve this missing person case and continue to ask for the public’s assistance.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Troop G at (518) 783-3211.
