New Rochelle, NY – On December 4, 2021, at approximately 4:30 a.m., State Police responded to I-95 in the city of New Rochelle, for a report of a physical altercation occurring on the shoulder of the roadway. A preliminary investigation determined that Brayan A. Escudero, 29, of Stamford, CT, was driving his vehicle northbound on I-95, when he and his female passenger were involved in an argument. It was reported that Escudero pulled over onto the shoulder, where the incident escalated, and he punched the female multiple times causing injuries.
The victim declined medical attention at the scene. Escudero was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. He was transported and processed at SP New Rochelle where he refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system. Escudero was charged with Assault 3rd degree and Driving While Intoxicated; both Misdemeanors. He was virtually arraigned before the City of New Rochelle Court and was Released on his Own Recognizance, and turned over to a sober third party. Escudero is to reappear on December 7, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
