Connecticut man arrested for DWI with a B.A.C. over twice the legal limit following a traffic stop on the Thruway.

Clarkstown, NY – On January 5, 2021, at approximately 10:20 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the town of Clarkstown, for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Samuel Johnson, 32, of Hamden, CT, was found to be intoxicated.  He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%. 

Johnson was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor and was turned over to a sober third party.  He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Clarkstown Court on January 25, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
