Rotterdam, NY – On September 10, 2021 at approximately 1:50 p.m., State Police received a report of a 2-car property damage motor vehicle crash that occurred on I-90 at Exit 25A in the town of Rotterdam.  A preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a 2017 Nissan Rogue, Damarys F. Correa, 37, of Bridgeport, CT, struck a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck. 

Correa was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody.  She was transported and processed at SP Albany, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be .24%.  Additionally, Correa was previously convicted of DWI within the last 10 years and as a result was charged with the Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Class E Felony. 

Correa was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Rotterdam Court on September 23, 2021.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
