PRESS RELEASE

Mamaroneck, NY – On March 25, 2021, at approximately 10:10 p.m., State Police attempted to stop a vehicle on I-95 in the village of Mamaroneck for a vehicle and traffic violation.  The vehicle sped up and continued northbound, where a brief pursuit ensued.  Troopers terminated the pursuit for safety reasons, due to approaching a work zone with a lane closure.

Mackinnon-Dunbar, 21, of Waterbury, CT, initially resisted arrest, but was subsequently taken into custody and transported to SP New Rochelle for processing.

Mackinnon-Dunbar was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest; all Class A Misdemeanors, Reckless Driving; an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Reckless Endangerment (Property); a Class B Misdemeanor.
