On October 12, 2019, State Police in Wilton arrested 37-year-old April N. Williams of Corinth, for Forgery 2nd degree (D felony), Falsifying Business Records 1st degree (E felony), Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor).

At approximately 3:02 a.m. on Saturday morning, State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on Church Street in Saratoga Springs for a traffic infraction. While being interviewed, the driver, later identified as April Williams, provided the Trooper with a false name.

The Trooper could also smell the odor of alcohol coming from inside the car. Williams was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she failed, and was taken into custody.

Williams was transported to SP Wilton where she provided a breath sample of .12% B.A.C. While at the station, Williams continued to identify herself using a false name and signed her arrest paperwork with it.

Troopers discovered that Williams had been using a false name after her fingerprints did not match the name she provided. When confronted about the mismatch Williams correctly identified herself.

Williams was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $1,000 cash or $3,000 bond. She is due back in court on October 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
