Poughkeepsie, New York – On July. 27, 2021, the New York State Police arrested Reynaldo Mojica, age 38, of Poughkeepsie, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell, both class B felonies, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree, both class A misdemeanors.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Academy Street in the city of Poughkeepsie.  Investigation discovered Mojica was in possession of approximately 19 grams of crack-cocaine, and 7.4 grams of heroin.  Further investigation determined Mojica initially provided a false name in an attempt to evade an active warrant for his arrest.

Mojica was arraigned before the city of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.  He is next scheduled to appear before the Court on August 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.
