Dayton man arrested for DWAI-Drugs, drug possession after Machias traffic stop

On June 4, 2021, SP Machias Troopers arrested Jeremy D. Yoder, 30, of Dayton, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.

During a traffic stop on Zoulko Road in the town of Machias, Troopers observed Yoder exhibiting obvious signs of impairment and determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an impaired condition. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin. Yoder failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene.  He was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation confirmed impairment.

Yoder was released with appearance tickets for Machias Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.
