Depew woman arrested for DWI with a B.A.C. over twice the legal limit following a motor vehicle accident on the Thruway.

Cheektowaga, NY – On February 15, 2021, at approximately 2:20 a.m., State Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident on I-90 in the town of Cheektowaga.  A preliminary investigation revealed that Kirstie M. Dlugosz, 26, of Depew, NY, was operating a Jeep Compass westbound when she traveled off the roadway and struck an unoccupied Chevrolet Cobalt which was on the right shoulder. 

Dlugosz, who was uninjured, was found to be intoxicated.  She was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Buffalo where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20%.

Dlugosz was subsequently charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.  She was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on March 26, 2021 at 8:30 a.m.
