Union Vale, New York – On July 27, 2021, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Leandro Castro, age 52, of Union Vale, for Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, both class E felonies, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor. 

Investigation determined Castro engaged in a domestic dispute and in the process destroyed an iPad device, all contrary to a valid order of protection.

Castro was arraigned before the town of Union Vale Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.  He is next scheduled to appear before the court on August 4, 2021, at 6:30 p.m.
