Domestic dispute results in an assault 3rd arrest

On December 29, 2022, Troopers arrested Dewey I. LaValley, age 69, of Chase Mills, NY for assault 3rd- cause physical injury. 

On December 29, 2022, around 2:45 p.m., Troopers responded to the Massena Memorial Hospital to interview a victim regarding a physical domestic dispute that occurred on the County Route 36, in the town of Louisville. An investigation determined the altercation took place on December 5, 2022, when LaValley and the victim were involved in a verbal argument which turned physical when LaValley struck the victim in the face.  The victim waited to report the incident due to being scared. The victim was suffering pain still on the December 29, 2022 from being struck in the face.  The victim suffered a perforated ear drum and a sprained temporomandibular joint, the victim was treated and released from the hospital. 

LaValley was arrested at SP Massena and processed.  He was arraigned in the town of Massena Court and released on his own recognizances.
