While on routine patrol on Tuesday September 24th, New York State Police stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on CR 119 in the Town of Rathbone. There was a strong odor of marihuana coming from the vehicle driven by, William Smith age 32 from Cameron. Smith told State Police that he had smoked marihuana in his truck the day before at lunch time. Other contraband was located in the vehicle and Smith was arrested for Criminal Possession of a controlled substance. Smith was issued tickets and is to appear at the Town of Rathbone Court at a later date.
