PRESS RELEASE

On September 3, 2019, State Police in Saratoga arrested 22-year-old Logan Desjadon of Ballston Lake, for Attempted Robbery 3rd degree and Assault 3rd degree, and Josiah R. Riley, 19, of Glenville, for Criminal Sale of Marihuana 3rd degree and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree.
 
At approximately 11:23 p.m. Tuesday evening, Troopers responded to a call for assistance from a driver traveling on State Route 50 in the town of Ballston. The driver, later identified as Josiah Riley, stated that there were two vehicles following behind his, the occupants of which were trying to assault him.
 
State Police located the two suspect vehicles at USA Gas on State Route 67 in Ballston Spa, and interviewed the occupants. Investigation revealed that Riley had met up with the occupants with the intention of selling them marijuana.

During the meet up, Logan Desjadon walked up to Riley to complete the drug sale.When Desjadon approached Riley, he punched him multiple times, and attempted to take a bag of marihuana that was in Riley’s lap.

Riley placed his car in reverse in an attempt to flee, and struck one of the vehicles as he left the scene. The vehicles then followed Riley leading him to contacted police.
 
Desjadon was arrested and processed without incident. He was arraigned in Ballston Town Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail without bail. He is due back in court on September 10, 2019 at 5:30 p.m.
 
Riley was processed and released with an appearance ticket, he is due in Ballston Town Court on September 12, 2019 at 7 p.m.
