PRESS RELEASE
 
On April 2nd, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Geoffrey Ghiandoni, 32, of Jamestown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
 
The Troopers were flagged down by pedestrians who directed them to a running vehicle in the parking lot of a Jamestown business during hours of operation with individual passed out in the driver seat. The Troopers were able to get the individual, later identified as Ghiandoni, to regain consciousness and placed him under arrest after he failed several SFSTs. Ghiandoni was transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of Central Nervous System depressants. Ghiandoni was transported to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown, NY, where a blood sample was obtained. Ghiandoni was then transported back to SP Jamestown where he was processed, issued tickets and released. Ghiandoni is scheduled to appear in the city of Jamestown Court on a later date.
