Erie man gets arrested for possessing stolen property following a traffic stop.

Cheektowaga, NY – On January 31, 2021, at approximately 9:15 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Cheektowaga for a vehicle and traffic violation.  During a DMV check of the registration, the dealer plate that was attached to the vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Erie Police Department.  The driver of the vehicle, Chester Carr, 53, of Erie, NY, was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Buffalo.

Carr was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5^th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor.  He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on March 3, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
