On January 6, 2020, State Police arrested 28-year-old Kathleen M. Dudziak of Lake George, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor) and Driving While Intoxicated- Prior Conviction (E felony).
Shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, State Police units were told to be on the lookout for an erratic driver traveling south on the Adirondack Northway in Town of Wilton. Troopers located the vehicle a short time later.
State Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued for approximately a mile and a half before coming to a complete stop in the middle of the far right-hand lane of travel.
A Trooper quickly approached the vehicle to instruct the driver out of traffic and onto the shoulder. The driver, later identified as Kathleen Dudziak, complied but struck the guiderail as she pulled her vehicle off the road.
Dudziak exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. The Trooper attempted to administer the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, but Dudziak was unable to complete them safely.
Dudziak was taken into custody and transported to SP Wilton where she refused to submit to a breath test. She was also found to be in possession of a quantity of concentrated cannabis.
She was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and is due to appear again on a later date.
