Excessive speed leads to traffic stop and DWI arrest

While on routine patrol on Sunday July 5th, New York State Police observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive rate of speed on Interstate 86 in the Town of Elmira. When State Police questioned the driver of the vehicle, Joseph Tindall, age 38 of Silver Spring, FL, they observed Tindall to have glassy eyes and he was slurring his words. Tindall told police that he had consumed some liquor and beer but was not drunk. A breath screening showed Tindall’s BAC to be .15%. Tindall was arrested for DWI and issued appearance ticket in the Town of Elmira court at a later date.
