On May 9th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Katherine Hackshaw, 28, of Fairview, PA, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
The Troopers responded to the intersection of Rock Hill and Goshen Roads for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Investigation revealed that Hackshaw was driving north on Goshen Road, failed to stop at the stop sign at the three-way intersection with Rock Hill Road and crashed into the ditch. Hackshaw was placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs. A subsequent search of Hackshaw and her vehicle revealed that she was in possession of an E-Cigarette containing marijuana oil. Hackshaw was transported to SP Jamestown where she was evaluated by a Chautauqua County Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of Central Nervous System depressants. Hackshaw was then processed, issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket and released. Hackshaw is scheduled to appear in the town of Harmony Court on a later date to answer the charges. Hackshaw was not injured in the accident.
