On June 22nd, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Christian Powell, 24, of Falconer, for Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Resisting Arrest and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The Troopers responded to a residence in Falconer for a report of a disorderly male throwing items. Investigation revealed that Powell had broken several items in the residence, punched holes in the walls and shot two rounds from a rifle inside the residence. This incident occurred in the presence of the victim, a protected party in a stay-away order and the victim’s two minor children. Powell physically resisted when he was being placed under arrest. Powell was then transported to SP Jamestown and while in custody, Powell intentionally struck the drywall in the patrol room, causing damage. Powell was then processed and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
