On August 22, 2020 at 4:48 P.M., Troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Heise Road and County Road in the town of Clarence.  Further investigation revealed that a 2003 Toyota Avalon was traveling south bound on Heise Road and failed to stop at the stop sign and stuck the 2020 Land Rover Discovery traveling west bound on County Road in the intersection.  The operator of the Toyota, Dina Rosenzweig, 19 of Lawrence, NY was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for serious injuries. The passenger of the Toyota and the driver of the Land Rover were taken by ambulance for serious injuries to ECMC.  On August 23, 2020, Rosenzweig succumbed to her injuries.

NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, Swarmville Fire Department assisted with this collision.

This is still an ongoing investigation.
