UPDATE - On February 24, 2020 at approximately 4:10 P.M., Troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) out of SP Fredonia responded to State Route 60 in the town of Pomfret, Chautauqua County for a three-vehicle collision.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Hyundai was traveling northbound on State Route 60 and rear-ended a 2016 Kia who was stopped in the northbound lane waiting to turn left into a parking lot.  The 2016 Kia was pushed into the southbound lane and struck by a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer traveling southbound.  The occupants of the Kia, 35-year-old operator and 7-year-old passenger, Emmaline A. Wilcox both of Cassadaga, NY were transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital.  The operator was treated for non-life threatening injuries.  *Emmaline Wilcox was pronounced deceased at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

The NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, Commercial Vehicle enforcement Unit, Fredonia Police Department assisted in this investigation.
