On July 4th, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Derek Gramling, 29, of Cumming, Gerogia and Steven Bickis, 36, of Madison, Indiana, for a total of six counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and two counts of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  Gramling was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree. 

Bickis was pulled over for speeding on Route 76 in Sherman and while speaking to the occupants, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle.  A search of the occupants and vehicle revealed the following items: phychedelic mushrooms, hashish, liquid marijuana in an e-cigarette pen, LSD, multiple controlled pills for which neither occupant had a prescription, marijuana vegetation, and a pipe containing marijuana residue.  Gramling and Bickis were placed under arrest, processed at SP Jamestown and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.
