On November 9th, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Lawrence Meyer, 35, of Jamestown, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th Degree.

The Troopers stopped to render assistance to Meyer who pulled over on the shoulder of I-86 for an unknown reason. While speaking to Meyer, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Meyer and his vehicle revealed a jar containing over 2.3 ounces of marijuana, a marijuana cigarette and a bag containing cocaine. Meyer was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Meyer was then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
