Fillmore complaint leads to aggravated DWI charge for Cuba man

On May 31, 2020, SP Amity Troopers arrested Joshua R. Schroeder, 21, of Cuba, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – BAC Over 0.18%.

Troopers investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway on State Route 19A in the hamlet of Fillmore in the town of Hume. They found Schroeder asleep at the wheel and determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Schroeder was then arrested and transported to SP Fillmore, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.18% BAC.

Schroeder was released with appearance tickets for Hume Town Court, where he is due to appear in July.
