On Monday February 3, 2020, State Police in Queensbury arrested 33-year-old Nicholas T. Sprague of Fort Edward, for Criminal Possession of a controlled Substance 3rd degree- Intent to Sell (B felony), Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug 4th degree (C felony), Criminal Impersonation 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor).


At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday, State Police stopped Sprague for a traffic infraction on John Street in the Village of Hudson Falls.When the Trooper spoke with Sprague, they observed signs indicative of drug use and asked Sprague to exit his vehicle. Sprague provided the Trooper with a false name when asked for identification, and fleeing on foot. He was taken into custody a short time later.


Sprague was found to be in possession of approximately 9.5 grams of crack cocaine. He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing and subsequently arraigned in Washington County Centralized Arraignment. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on a later date.
