Major James M. Hall
Troop A Commander

On November 19th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Philip Whitfield, 27, of Fredonia, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.
A vehicle in which Whitfield was riding drove through a road check on Route 60 in Jamestown and while speaking to the occupants, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, the Troopers located a bag containing 35 Ecstasy pills, over seven ounces of marijuana, and several items used for weighing and packaging drugs, all of which were determined to be Whitfield’s. Whitfield was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Whitfield was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of Kiantone Court next month.
