PRESS RELEASE
 
On March 12th, 2021, New York State Troopers arrested Megann Panek, 30, for Criminal Possession of marijuana 7th Degree and David Wolcott, 42, for Criminal Impersonation 2nd Degree and Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree. Panek and Wolcott are both residents of Fredonia.
 
Panek was pulled over on Route 20 in Portland for a traffic violation. A check of Panek‚Äôs license revealed that an order of protection directed Wolcott from having contact with Panek. The passenger initially provided a false identity but was eventually positively identified as Wolcott and placed under arrest. Also during the traffic stop, Panek was found to be in possession of a bag and a vial containing crystal methamphetamine. Panek was also placed under arrest both Panek and Wolcott were transported to SP Fredonia where they were processed. Panek was released with an appearance ticket and Wolcott was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
