Fredonia woman uses “child-less” car seat for shoplifting incident.

On February, 02, 2021, Troopers out of SP Fredonia arrested Titiana L. Berrios Vega, 22, of Fredonia, NY for petit larceny after hiding items in an empty infant car seat.

Troopers responded to the Aldi located on Vineyard Drive in the town of Dunkirk for a report of recent thefts.  When Troopers arrived on scene, they reviewed security footage of a woman, later identified as Berrios Vega, going through the store, taking items and then hiding the items in a empty child car seat that was sitting in the shopping cart. As she left the store, Aldi employees obtained the license plate as Berrios Vega drove away.

Shortly thereafter, Berrios Vega was located and apprehended.  She was transported to SP Fredonia for processing and released on an appearance ticket for the town of Dunkirk court for later this month.
