September 9, 2019 – SP Princetown

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Troopers stationed at SP Princetown, arrested a 42-year-old fugitive from the State of California during a traffic stop in the City of Schenectady.

Nikco D. Polk was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following a traffic stop.  During his interaction with Troopers, Polk misrepresented his identity by giving a fictitious identity.  Troopers eventually determined Polk’s true identity which revealed he is wanted for a California Parole Violation related to a conviction for Robbery.

Polk was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice as well as the Misdemeanors of False Personation and Driving While Intoxicated after a breath test revealed his BAC to be .14%.

Polk was processed without incident at SP Princetown and arraigned in the City of Schenectady Court where he was remanded to the Schenectady County Jail without bail.

Polk is believed to have been staying in the town of Bethlehem, Albany County.
