On September 30, 2019, State Police in Wilton arrested 31-year-old Daniel J. Lombard of Gansevoort, for Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor), Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident (A misdemeanor), Reckless Driving (misdemeanor), 2 counts of Assault 3rd degree (A misdemeanor), and numerous vehicle and traffic infractions.

At approximately 9:37 p.m Sunday evening, State Police responded to a two-car rollover accident at the intersection of Gailor Rd. and Northern Pines Rd. in Gansevoort.

While on scene, multiple witnesses reported that the operator of one of the vehicles, who was later identified as Daniel Lombard, had fled into the woods. A State Police K9 responded to assist but was unable to locate the suspect.

Lombard had been traveling east on Gailor Rd, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle headed north on Northern Pines Rd. The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to Saratoga Hospital. They were later released.

Early this morning, Troopers responded to Lombard’s residence where he was located and taken into custody. He was transported to SP Wilton where he provided a breath sample of .03% B.A.C.

Lombard was arraigned in Wilton Town Court, and is due to return October 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
