On October 25, 2019, State Police in Wilton arrested 49-year-old Jennifer C. Vandetta of Gansevoort, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated- Prior Conviction (E felony), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (E felony), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor).
 
At approximately 8:32 p.m. on Friday, Troopers were called to check on a woman found unresponsive in a vehicle in the parking lot of  the Stewart’s Shops in Gansevoort. When a patrol arrived, they found Jennifer Vandetta sitting in the driver’s seat of a running car. Vandetta did not respond to multiple attempts to wake her until the Trooper entered the vehicle.
 
The Trooper could smell the odor of alcohol coming from Vandetta, and she exhibited multiple signs intoxication. Vandetta refused to follow commands to exit the vehicle and physically resisted being place in custody. She was secured after a brief struggle.
 
Vandetta was transported to SP Wilton where she provided a breath sample of .29% B.A.C. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Wilton Town Court on November 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
