Albany, NY – On November 22, 2019 at approximately 9:40 p.m., State Police stopped a car on I-87 at the exit 23 tolls, in the city of Albany, for a vehicle and traffic violation.  While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The driver, Devon McKnight, 36, of Riverdale, GA was found to be in possession of 13 various credit cards bearing fraudulent information and a credit card skimmer device. 
It was also determined that McKnight had initially presented another individual’s license because he was suspended and was wanted by the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia.   McKnight was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Albany as a Fugitive from Justice where he was charged with 13 counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree; a Class D Felony, Possession of Forgery Devices; a Class D Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Skimmer Device 2nd degree and Criminal Impersonation of Another Person; both Class A Misdemeanors, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
McKnight was arraigned before the City of Albany Court and remanded to Albany County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or bond.  A return court date of November 27, 2019 has been set.
