On May 29, 2021, the New York State Police in Mayfield arrested 34-year-old Kyle R. Stemmler of Gloversville, for Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest, both are class A misdemeanors.

State police attempted to stop Stemmler for a traffic infraction as he traveled on N. Main Street in Gloversville Saturday evening. Despite the trooper having activated their emergency lights, Stemmler continued driving until he was able to pull into his driveway. He then exited his vehicle and immediately refused to cooperate with the stop. Stemmler attempted to leave and enter a residence while the trooper was conducting their investigation. As the trooper attempted to place him in custody, Stemmler physically resisted arrest, but was ultimately taken into custody.

Stemmler was transported to SP Mayfield for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket to Gloversville City Court on June 22, 2021.
