 Troop G Commander

On November 8, 2019, State Police in Wilton arrested 29-year-old Jaclyn A. Cotter-Scala of Greenfield Center, for Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor), Obstructing Governmental Administration (A misdemeanor), and Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor).
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, State Police stopped Cotter-Scala for erratic operation as she travelled on Wilton Greenfield Road in Gansevoort. When the Trooper interviewed Cotter-Scala he could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her mouth and observed signs of impairment.
Cotter-Scala was asked to exit the vehicle and was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which she failed. When the Trooper attempted to place her in custody, she actively resisted arrest, but was successfully secured. Once in custody, Cotter-Scala continued to be combative, kicking her feet and screaming obscenities at police.
Upon arriving at SP Wilton for processing, Cotter-Scala provided a breath sample of .17% B.A.C. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Wilton Town Court on November 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
