On April 22, 2020, State Police arrested 32-year-old Jesse J. Hollinger of Hermon following an investigation of a car crash that occurred on January 22, 2020, at around 6 p.m. in Hermon.

Hollinger was traveling east on County Route 17 in the town of Hermon when he lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road, and hit a rock wall head on in the vicinity of 2804 County Route 17. Two children were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, ages 6, and 4. The children were not injured. Hollinger was transported to the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and submitted to a blood test to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Subsequent to testing, his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.18%. He was charged with Aggravated DWI, and Felony Aggravated DWI under Leandra‚Äôs Law. Hollinger was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Hermon Court
