PRESS RELEASE

On September 5, 2019 at approximately 5:22 p.m., New York State Police at Ithaca arrested Phyllis J. Melton, age 50 of Ithaca, NY for the felony of Grand Larceny. 

Melton is accused of taking jewelery from a property in Lansing where she was hired as a cleaner.  A complaint was lodged with the State Police August 22, 2019, Melton is accused of stealing the items and selling them at a pawn shop. 

After an investigation, she was arrested at her residence on September 5 and arraigned in the town of Lansing court where she was released on her own recognizance.
