On May 30, 2020 State Police in Greenwich arrested 24-year-old Everetton I. Newman of Hudson Falls, for Burglary 2nd degree (C felony), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree (A misdemeanor) and Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor).

State Police attempted to stop Newman for a traffic infraction as he travelled on John Street in Hudson Falls Saturday afternoon. Newman accelerated away on his motorcycle before the Trooper could make an initial a traffic stop. He was located a short time later after dumping the bike on the lawn of a residence and taking off on foot. The Trooper observed Newman run out of a home and then reenter it upon being given an order to stop. The Trooper pursued Newman and took him into custody, which Newman actively resisted. Newman is charged with burglary after it was determined that he did not live at the residence or have any reason to be there.

Newman was transported to SP Greenwich for processing and arraigned in Whitehall Town Court. He was remanded to Washington County Jail on a NYS Parole warrant and is due to appear in Kingsbury Town Court on August 5, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
