Hume man arrested for DWI at twice the limit

On June 11, 2020, SP Fillmore Troopers arrested Andy Speta, 45, of Hume, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.

Troopers observed Speta operating a riding lawn mower on County Road 23 in the town of Hume, and that he was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Speta was then arrested and transported to SP Fillmore, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.17% BAC.

Speta was released with appearance tickets for Hume Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.
