Cortlandt, New York – On July 5, 2022, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks began investigating a fatal motor vehicle and pedestrian crash on Crompond Road in the town of Cortlandt.

Troopers in Horseheads arrest a motorist for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree and Possession of Illegal Fireworks.

On July 4, 2022, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop on a motorist for speeding on Interstate 86, in the town of Big Flats.

Cats and dogs left behind in trailer leads to arrest of two women

On July 2, 2022, New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Tamara L. Tophoven, age 57 of Edmeston, NY and Rebecca Tophoven, age 43 of Edmeston, NY for four counts of the Agriculture and Markets Law misdemeanor of Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance.

Troopers remove seven impaired drivers off the roadways of Troop "C" over holiday weekend

During the Fourth of July holiday the New York State Police in Troop “C” removed seven impaired motorists off the roadways.  Troop “C” encompasses seven counties: Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tompkins and Tioga.
