State Police open application process, will hold entrance exam in October 2020

Superintendent Keith M. Corlett announced the State Police have launched a new recruiting effort to attract the best and brightest qualified candidates to join one of the most highly respected law enforcement organizations in the country. The State Police will be holding a new Trooper entrance examination this fall across the state.

On March 31st, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Courtney Thomas, 21, of Ashville, for Driving While Intoxicated.

Troopers arrested Aunjanaya D. Ramdath, age 31 from Clay, NY for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class “A” misdemeanor.

State Police arrested Patrick Boykin, age 40 from Oswego, NY for Criminal Sex Act 2nd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Rochester Man arrested on Grand Larceny charges

State Police arrested Darin L. Thompson, age 30 from Rochester, NY for stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Cicero Walmart store.

State Police arrested Thomas R. Riley, age 51 from Watertown, NY for Burglary 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree.

Hyde Park man arrested for endangering the welfare of a child

Rhinebeck, New York – On March 31, 2020, the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Tarell Heard, age 38, of Hyde Park, NY, for Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person in the 1st degree, a class E felony.

Man and woman from Mahopac arrested for burglarizing home in Verplanck

Cortlandt, New York – On March 27, 2020, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Tiara K. Frederick, age 23, and Giovani R. Fernandez, age 26, both of Mahopac, NY, for Burglary in the 1st degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, a class E felony.

Woman arrested after telling her employer she was issued a warning ticket

On March 30, 2020 at approximately 5:08 p.m., New York State Police at Endwell arrested Alexia M. Pike, age 32 of Endicott, NY for the misdemeanor of Forgery in the third degree.

Troop C Driving While Intoxicated arrests in March

Members of the New York State Police took over twenty people off the road in the month of March that were driving while impaired.
