Interagency checkpoint held in Tompkins County

New York State Police and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office held an Interagency Checkpoint on Friday. 

Over 1,100 vehicles passed through the checkpoint which was held in the town of Ithaca on State Route 13 and Sandbank Road. 

One person was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated –identified as Ryan T. Muller, age 30 of Watkins Glenn, NY. 

36 total traffic tickets were issued.

The checkpoint was part of ongoing effort to target reckless and aggressive driving which target alcohol and drug impaired driving.
