On August 24th, 2021, New York State Troopers arrested Brandon Doud, 28, of Jamestown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. 
The Troopers responded to Route 60 in Gerry for a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident.  Investigation revealed that Doud attempted to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone and re-entered the southbound lane prior to completely passing the vehicle, causing both vehicles to collide and become disabled.  Doud was placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs.  Doud was transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determiend to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System Stimulant.  A blood sample was secured from Doud at UPMC Hospital in Jamestown.  Doud was then transported back to SP Jamestown, processed, and released with tickets.  Doud is scheduled to appear in the town of Gerry Court next month.  None of the individuals involved in the accident were injured.
