On April 22nd, 2022, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Javier Matos Montanez, 42, of Jamestown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
Matos Montanez was pulled over on Route 60 in Gerry for traffic violations. Matos Montanez exhibited multiple signs of drug impairment and was placed under arrest after failing SFSTs. Matos Montanez was searched during which time a bag of fentanyl and  crack cocaine wrapped in foil were located on his person. After providing a blood sample at UPMC Chautauqua, Matos Montanez was transported to SP Jamestown for processing. Matos Montinez was issued traffic tickets and appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of Gerry Court next month. Matos Montanez was then turned over to Jamestown Police Officers on an outstanding warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
