On April 9th, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Jacob Rivera-Abbey, 21, of Jamestown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
Rivera-Abbey was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Tiffany Avenue in Falconer and after failing several SFSTs, Rivera-Abbey was placed under arrest. While being searched, the Troopers located a bag containing methamphetamine in Rivera-Abbey’s pocket. Rivera-Abbey was transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant, a Central Nervous System depressant and cannabis. A blood sample was secured from Rivera-Abbey at UPMC Hospital in Jamestown. Rivera-Abbey was then transported back to SP Jamestown where he was processed, issued tickets and released. Rivera-Abbey is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court next month to answer the charges.
