PRESS RELEASE
 
On February 27th, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Dakota Morse, 24, of Jamestown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
 
Morse was pulled over on I-86 in Kennedy for speeding and placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs. Three glassine envelopes containing methamphetamine, a container with methamphetamine, a smoking device containing marijuana residue and two bags containing marijuana were found in Morse’s possession. Morse was transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of cannabis. Morse was transported to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown and provided a blood sample. Morse was then transported back to SP Jamestown, processed, and issued traffic tickets and appearance tickets. Morse is scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court on a later date.
