On March 14th, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Johnathan DeJesus-Godineaux, 21, of Jamestown, for Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, Unlawfully Fleeing from a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree. 
The Troopers attempted to pull over a vehicle traveling north on Route 60 for a traffic violation, however the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed and a pursuit was initiated.  The suspect vehicle continued for several miles before exiting the roadway and becoming disabled in a ravine.  DeJesus-Godineau was identified as the driver and placed under arrest.  While being searched, a bag of methamphetamine and a set of brass knuckles was located on DeJesus-Godineaux’s person.  Further investigation revealed that the license plate on the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen out of Michigan.  DeJesus-Godineaux was transported to SP Jamestown, processed and issued appearance and traffic tickets.  DeJesus-Godineaux is scheduled to appear in the town of Gerry Court next month.  DeJesus-Godineaux was not injured from driving off the road.
