Troop A Commander

On February 26th, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Trisha Kaprolat, 44, of Jamestown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Possession of Controlled Substances by Ultimate Users Original Container.
The Troopers responded to the I-86 Exit 12 off ramp and Route 60 in Jamestown for a report of a two-car property damage accident. Investigation revealed that Kaprolat was exiting I-86 and failed to stop her vehicle prior to striking the vehicle in front of her that was stopped at the sign. Kaprolat was placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs. Four Alprazolam pills and a bag containing methamphetamine were located in Kaprolat’s vehicle. Kaprolat was transported to SP Jamestown where she was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant and a depressant. Kaprolat was transported to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown where she provided a blood sample. Kaprolat was then transported back to SP Jamestown where she was processed and issued traffic tickets and appearance tickets. Kaprolat is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court next month to answer the charges.
